Campus Management Corporation Clients Receive Prestigious Awards
Career College Association and Imagine America Foundation announce winners
(Boca Raton, FL – July 3, 2007) – Campus Management Corporation today announced that during the Career College Association (CCA) Annual Convention and Exposition June 13-15, 2007 in New Orleans, LA, three of its Higher Education clients were recognized for their outstanding dedication and achievement.
Mr. Todd Bell of Westwood College in Anaheim, CA was awarded Teacher of the Year. It was noted that Todd Bell is not an average teacher; he is also a coach, mentor, counselor, and motivator. Westwood College was founded in Denver, Colorado in 1953. For many years the school was known as Denver Institute of Technology, offering diploma and degree programs in a variety of technical fields. Since then, Alta College, Westwood’s parent company has expanded Westwood College's offerings by leveraging its proven approach of career-focused education to reach a wider array of students.
Mr. Dean Johnston, founder of Santa Barbara Business College (SBBC) was given the Pioneer Award. Santa Barbara Business College was founded in 1888 as a California business college and normal institute. Normal institutes trained teachers at the turn of the 20th century. The primary curriculum focus throughout SBBC's long history has been business. In recent years, curriculum offerings have expanded to include programs in Allied Health, Information Technology, Paralegal and Criminal Justice in addition to the traditional Business offerings.
Mr. Marc Fishman, 1990 graduate of Full Sail Real World Education in Orlando, FL. was inducted into the CCA Hall of Fame. As a Hollywood Sound Re-Recording Mixer, Marc is the creative genius who has blended together dialogue, music and sound effects on such films as Legally Blonde, The Wedding Planner, Nacho Libre and the 2006 Academy Award winner for best picture, “Crash”. Over the past 28 years, Full Sail Real World Education has built a reputation as one of the premier media arts colleges in the world.
