Campus Management Corp. and SAP reach agreement over use of “CAMPUS MANAGEMENT”

(Boca Raton, FL - August 9, 2007) – Campus Management Corp. today announced that SAP AG and Campus Management have amicably reached an agreement under which SAP will not use, claim rights in, or seek to register the trademark, “CAMPUS MANAGEMENT,” anywhere in the world.

Campus Management has used CAMPUS MANAGEMENT CORP as a trademark and service mark since October 2, 1995. On September 22, 2003, Campus Management filed trademark and service mark applications for CAMPUS MANAGEMENT CORP with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). On November 22, 2005, SAP commenced an opposition proceeding in response to Campus Management’s service mark application, claiming it had the right to use “SAP Campus Management” descriptively in connection with its higher education offering.

Through the agreement of May 10, 2007, SAP voluntarily dismissed its opposition against Campus Management’s service mark application.  In addition, both parties have agreed that SAP will have a brief wind-down period to change over existing materials and will continue to use “SAP Campus Management” solely with a few existing customers. Campus Management continues to actively assert its exclusive rights to use the mark “CAMPUS MANAGEMENT CORP” in connection with providing administrative software and technical support services for higher education institutions.
